Merrimack Man Arrested on Drug Charges

A Merrimack man was arrested on multiple drug possession charges after police say they spotted evidence of drug use while following up on another call at his home.

Steven G. Rennie, 30, of 137 London Court, Merrimack, was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled drug and possession of a prescription drug without a prescription.

Police say they were following up on an incident at Rennie's home on June 10 and spotted evidence of drug use in the apartment. The detective secured a search warrant for the home and when it was executed later in the afternoon, police seized a quantity of marijuana, hashish and prescription drugs.

Rennie was released on $4,000 personal recognizance bail and was ordered to appear in Merrimack's 9th Circuit Court on June 24 to answer to the charges.
