Merrimack Bank Fraud Fugitive Arrested: Police

Merrimack police accused Randy Vigeant, of Nashua, of passing a forged check at TD Bank.

MERRIMACK, NH — A Nashua man who defrauded a Merrimack bank last month has been arrested, police said. Randy Vigeant, 40, was arrested Wednesday and charged with forgery and attempted theft — both felonies. He was released on bond.

Merrimack Police Det. Brandon Gagnon said Vigeant was accused of passing a forged check at TD Bank Dec. 12.

"Upon identifying the check as being fraudulent, bank staff notified Merrimack Police," Gagnon said in a statement. "Vigeant left the area prior to the arrival of (officers)."

Police obtained a warrant for his arrest and took him into custody last week. He will be arraigned Jan. 31 in Hillsborough County Superior Court.
