Merrimack Chamber Honors Leaders of 2012
Dan Hock and Cathy Hock, owners of Merrimack Flower Shop and Greenhouse named as Business Leader of the Year.
Dan and Cathy Hock, Edna Woods, Tom Lachance and the Arbors of Bedford earned big awards at the 49th annual Merrimack Chamber of Commerce Recognition Dinner and Scholarship Fundraiser, and several local students will also be big winners from the proceeds of the dinner.
The money raised during the Chamber's annual dinner benefits high school seniors who apply for scholarships given for academic and extracurricular achievement.

Business Person of 2012 actually was renamed to Business Persons of the Year for 2012, and awarded to the Hocks, owners of Merrimack Flower Shop & Greenhouse.

And finally, joining the recognition roundup was Woods, who earned the first-ever Volunteer of the Year award. Courtemanche said the video above that the board met last year and decided there are too many volunteers that "make up the fabric of the community" to not recognize them.
Woods is the organizer of the annual New England Parkinson's Ride, which raised $200,000 in 2012 alone to help find a cause and eventually a cure for Parkinson's disease.
