Merrimack Man Charged in Attack on Ex-Girlfriend

Police say Beau Burgess assaulted and threatened his victim and damaged a door to the home he entered without permission.

A Merrimack man was arrested on a handful of domestic-related charges Monday after allegedly attacking and threatening an ex-girlfriend.

Beau Burgess, 28, of Maple Street, Merrimack, was charged with simple assault, criminal threatening, criminal mischief, criminal trespass and stalking following the reported altercation around 3 p.m. on Dec. 3.

Police say Burgess entered a Maple Street house uninvited causing damage to an interior door while doing so. The victim, who described Burgess to police as her ex-boyfriend, tried to get away from Burgess and was assaulted twice. No injuries were reported.

As Burgess was leaving the home, police were told he threatened the victim with further violence. 

Burgess was later arrested at his parents home across the street. He was placed on $2,000 cash bail and was scheduled to appear in Merrimack district court on Dec. 4 to answer to the charge.
