Merrimack Man Charged in Local Car Break-ins

A Merrimack man has been charged in relation to a string of recent thefts from automobiles in town.
Police arrested William Rutkowski, 21, of 38 Fairway Drive, Merrimack, on Friday on a warrant for receiving stolen property, fraudulent use of a credit card.
Police say they began an investigation on July 21 when reports were made by several residents off Back River Road regarding vehicles being broken into.
After a multi-day investigation, police determined Rutkowski to be the perpetrator and arrested him at his home on July 26 around 8 p.m.
Rutkowski was later released on $ 5,000 personal recognizance bail and ordered to appear in the 9th District Circuit Court in Merrimack on Aug. 19.
