State Police Marine Patrol is investigating a boating accident on Baboosic Lake in Amherst on Friday night that sent a 15-year-old girl to the hospital and involved a boater from Merrimack. Authorities say they were called at 7:41 p.m. to the accident in the area of Camp Young Judea. According to a press release issued Friday night, a bowrider-style boat operated by Nathan Demers, 20, of Merrimack, collided with a row boat with two passengers aboard. An unidentified teenage girl was transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center where she was treated for a bruised knee and released. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
