Merrimack Police: 1 DUI Arrest Leads To Another At Same Scene
Merrimack police said as officers investigated a drunken-driving crash on Turkey Hill Road, another drunk driver passed the scene.
MERRIMACK, NH — Merrimack man police charged two drivers with drunken driving on the same road just minutes apart over the weekend. Master Patrolman Stephen Wallin said on Saturday at about 12:15 a.m., Brett Martinez, 29, of Lowell, Massachusetts, crashed into a mailbox on Turkey Hill Road near McQuestion Road. Martinez was charged with drunken driving.
"While handling this investigation, another vehicle proceeded through the accident scene in an erratic manner," Wallin said in a statement. "The vehicle was subsequently stopped."
The driver of that vehicle, Glen Smith, 43, of Merrimack, was also charged with drunken driving.

Smith and Martinez were released on bond and scheduled for arraignments Dec. 27 in Merrimack District Court.
