Merrimack Police Log: 2 Charged With DUI

Excerpts from the latest Merrimack police log: individuals were also charged with criminal threatening and breach of bail.

MERRIMACK, NH — The following are excerpts from the latest Merrimack police log. Arrested individuals are presumed innocent.

Sean Handley (top left), 27, of Manchester, was arrested Jan. 6 and charged with driving under the influence. Police said an officer saw Handley commit a driving violation on Amherst Road at about 12:05 a.m. and pulled him over. "The officer observed signs of possible impairment. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Handley,was impaired and he was arrested," police said. Handley was released on bond pending an arraignment Jan. 10.

Michael Palmer (top right), 38, of Merrimack, was arrested Jan. 4 and charged with breach of bail. Police said Palmer walked into the police station to check on his bail conditions related to previous encounter with police. "Upon making contact with Palmer, officers observed signs of possible impairment. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Palmer had consumed alcohol, which was in direct violation of his bail conditions," police said. Palmer was held in custody pending an arraignment Jan. 7.

Keith Jensen (bottom left), 51, of Merrimack, was arrested Jan. 1 and charged with driving under the influence and an open container violation. Police said an officer saw Jensen commit a driving violation in the area of the Daniel Webster Highway. "The officer observed possible signs of impairment. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Jensen was impaired and he was arrested," police said. Jensen was released on bond pending an arraignment Jan. 10.

David Vachon (bottom right), 49, of Merrimack, was arrested Jan. 3 after turning himself in on a warrant for criminal threatening. Police said the warrant was issued in connection with an incident over the summer. "Upon speaking with the victim, the officer was advised that a male, at the time identified as the above David Vachon, had threatened to physically harm the victim if the victim came onto his property," police said. Vachon was released on bond pending an arraignment Jan. 10.
