Saturday:

12:45 p.m.: Gov. Hassan continuing to urge people to stay off the roads while communities clean up.

Friday:

6:30 p.m.: Gov. Hassan declares state of emergency; snow totals could hit 30 inches in parts of the state.

2:11 p.m.: Gov. Maggie Hassan is requesting residents to stay off the roads after 7 p.m. tonight until Saturday afternoon, during what is expected to be the height of the storm.

11:05 a.m.: From Merrimack PD on Facebook: Please be stay off the roadways tonight, it will make not only our job and the highways department's job easier, it will keep you safe too!! Don't forget to look out for elderly neighbors and call us if you think someone might need our help. We will keep you updated throughout the storm.

10:36 a.m.: Merrimack Public Works Deputy Director Kyle Fox just called to say the Merrimack Transfer Station will close at noon today and will be closed Saturday unless the predicted snowfall totals somehow pass us by, in which case, they may just have a delayed opening.

10:35 a.m.: The Merrimack Town Offices will close at noon today.

  • Buckley's Great Steaks will be closed Friday.
  • Broadway Bound's Dancer's Inc competition is cancelled for this weekend. It is rescheduled for March 30.
  • Academy for Science and Design is closed Friday, Feb. 8.
  • Cupcake Conspiracy will be open reduced hours Friday, Feb. 8, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
  • SAU 26 schools are closed Friday, Feb. 8.
  • Merrimack PTA Kindergarten and Preschool is closed Friday, Feb. 8.
  • South Merrimack Christian Academy is closed Friday, Feb. 8.
  • Winning Swimming is closing Friday Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. Hope to open Saturday February 9th at 3:00 but call us at (603) 429-0061 prior to your scheduled swim time to be sure we have power.
  • Town Offices closing at noon Friday.
  • Transfer station closing at noon on Friday. Will be closed on Saturday.
  • Tortilla Flat dining room is closed, but the bar is open until further notice.
  • Swan Chocolates will close at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8.
  • The Merrimack Public Library will be closed on Saturday, Feb. 9.
  • The YMCA is closed as of 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. Will decide at 2 p.m. whether it will re-open
  • Bob and Dee's Barbershop is closed on Saturday, Feb. 9.
