Merrimack Teen Punched, Spit On Family Member: Police

MERRIMACK, NH — A 15-year-old from Merrimack was arrested Monday and charged with a host of crimes after police said the juvenile attacked a family member. The minor's name was not released.

Merrimack police Captain Brian Levesque said officers were dispatched to a residence in town Monday at about 1 a.m. after receiving a complaint of an argument.

"When officers arrived they conducted an investigation and determined that the juvenile had assaulted a family/household member at least three different times by punching, spitting on and pulling the victim’s hair," Levesque said in a statement. "During the assault the victim’s clothing was ripped and eye glasses were damaged."

The juvenile was charged with three counts of domestic violence and three counts of criminal mischief. The juvenile was then released to a family member, according to Levesque.
