Merrimack Woman Stole Money From Employer: Police

Merrimack police charged Sharon Robinson with 15 counts of theft and forgery.

MERRIMACK, NH — A Merrimack woman was arrested Thursday after police said she stole money from her employer on more than a dozen occasions. Sharon Robinson, 52, was charged with 15 counts of theft and one count of forgery. She turned herself in on a warrant and was released on bond.

Police Lt. Kenneth MacLeod said in December, officers opened an investigation after receiving a report from Robinson's employer that she had been stealing money.

"The victim reported that after looking into the business bank records, it was discovered that Sharon Robinson had deposited the same payroll check on two separate occasions," MacLeod said in a statement. "It was further discovered that Robinson had also collected money from tenants, connected to the business, which were never deposited into the business bank accounts."
