Nashua, Merrimack Men Arrested in Fatal December Shooting

The shooting allegedly occurred on Dec. 18, 2013 in Lowell, MA.

UPDATE, 5:30 p.m.: A Nashua man and a Merrimack man have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a Lowell, MA man on Dec. 18, 2013, according to the Lowell Sun.

The newspaper reported that Jonathan Rivera, 23, of Nashua and Donte Okowuga, 34, of Merrimack pleaded not guilty to armed home invasion in Lowell District Court on Monday. Rivera was held on $100,000 bail, and Okowuga on $200,000 bail.

A Nashua arrest has been made in connection with a fatal shooting in Lowell, MA last year.

Middlesex (MA) District Attorney Marian Ryan announced that a press conference will be held at the Lowell Police Department at 3 p.m. Monday to update the ongoing investigation and announce arrests in Nashua, Lowell and Utica, NY in connection with a fatal shooting on Dec. 18, 2013 in an apartment building on 2nd Street in Lowell.

The press conference will follow scheduled arraignments of two co-defendants in Lowell District Court on Monday morning. Two additional co-defendants have reportedly been arrested and are being held in Nashua and Utica, NY. A warrant has also been issued for a fifth co-defendant, who is currently in custody on an unrelated matter.
