Nashua Man Charged in Residential Theft

Police say they began investigating theft on Nov. 26.

Three months after a theft from a Merrimack residence, a Nashua man has been arrested and charged with the crime.

Corey Belmore, 24, of 72 Lock St., Nashua, was charged with theft by unauthorized taking after being arrested by Nashua Police on a warrant out of Merrimack.

Merrimack Police began investigating the theft from a Merrimack residence on Nov. 26, according to a press release sent Saturday morning. After investigating for a month, police say detectives determined Belmore as the suspect. They say he is familiar with the homeowners.

Police say the value of what was stolen was in excess of $1,500, making the crime a class A felony. He was processed at the Merrimack Police Department and released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail. Belmore is
scheduled to appear before the 9th Circuit Court District Division in Merrimack on March 19 to answer to the charge.
