Nashua Man Faces Drunken Driving Charge

A Nashua man found asleep in his parked car, with the engine running, was charged with operating under the influence.

The Merrimack Police Department arrested Liandro F. Gonzalez, 32, of 5 new Haven Drive, Apt. 105, Nashua, on the charges May 16.

A Merrimack police officer said Gonzalez was found in a White Acura stopped in the southbound travel lane at 1:58 a.m. The officer said he was either asleep or passed out in the driver's seat, with the engine running.

The officer awakened the driver and conducted a brief investigation, which led to the charge.

He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court in Merrimack on May 28.
