Pair Charged for Recklessly Firing Rifle
Police say couple was target shooting without a proper back drop, and bullets came in close proximity to survey crew and investigating officers.
A pair of Hudson residents who were apparently target shooting without the proper safety precautions in place turned themselves in to police on an outstanding warrant on Wednesday.
Nicholas Morrow, 26 of 18 Roosevelt Ave., No. 11, Hudson, and Anna Chaput, 21, of the same address, turned themselves to Merrimack Police on Feb. 20, each on a charge of felony reckless conduct.
Police were called to Mast Road on Feb. 14 at around 1:50 p.m. by a survey crew who said they were out working when they heard a bullet go by them. Responding police officers said they went out to investigate and heard shots fired and they heard two bullets go by them as well.

Police found Morrow and Chaput target shooting with a .22 caliber rifle without the appropriate backdrop in place. Each was released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail and scheduled to appear in Merrimack's district court on March 7.
A class A felony is punishable by up to 7 1/2 to 15 years in jail and up to $4,000 in fines.
