Photo of the Week: Chased Up a Tree by Louie

This week's photo of the week comes from a gallery submission in the middle of last week. The photo above is of a fisher cat spotted chased up a tree by a dog named Louie on Coles Rock Road on March 5.

Fisher cats are not actually from the feline family, but rather from the weasel family and they are predators. Though they supplement their diets with nuts, mushrooms, insects and berries, fisher cats hunt hares and porcupines. They will also attack small animals including cats and small dogs.
