Photo of the Week: Here Fishy, Fishy

This past weekend was Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department's annual Winter Carnival and there were so many great photo opps, it was hard to pick just one for this week's photo of the week.

The Lions Club Ice Fishing Derby was swimming with kids and their parents on a frozen Naticook Lake and if they weren't fishing, kids were peering into the drilled holes hoping to catch a glimpse of something in the water below.

The picture above shows 7-year-old Brett Mitchell doing a little of both as he patiently waited for the more than a foot-long pickerel he could just a few minutes after this photo was snapped.
