Police Arrest 2 for Attempted Burglary
A resident dialed 911 to report two men were trying to break into her house. Police say they arrived in time to catch them in the act.
A woman on Bel Air Avenue called 911 Sunday to report two men trying to break into her home and police officers arrived in time to find them tampering with the rear door.
Merrimack police said the men were arrested without incident. Cody Hoemke, 18, of 14 Druin Way, Merrimack, was charged with attempted burglary and possession of a prescription drug without a valid prescription. Trevor Dinneen, 20, of 20 Wire Road, Merrimack, was charge with attempted burglary, police said.
The two were due in court May 19 to answer to the charges.
Police said the woman dialed 911 at about 4:20 p.m.
Dinneen was placed on $5,000 cash bail and Hoemke was placed on $7,500 cash bail. Both were taken to the Valley Street jail pending their arraignment Monday.
