Police Investigating Early Morning Burglary at Ida Mae's

Police suspect the burglar knew where the cash would be hidden before breaking in.

Current and former employees of Ida Mae's Sandwich Shop & Grill are being interviewed by police following an early-morning break-in where an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the restaurant.

Police were called to the small shop that serves breakfast and lunch daily around 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, after a manager and staff arrived to open for the day and discovered the restaurant had been broken into.

Police say the discovery of the missing cash and based upon where it was kept leads them to believe the person who broke in knew where the cash would be prior to breaking into the restaurant.

Police are continuing to investigate the burglary and ask anyone who might know something to contact them at 424-3774. Information can also be
shared anonymously to the Merrimack Crimeline, at 424-2424, or by submitting a  web tip on the Merrimack Police website at www.merrimackpd.org.
