Police Look for Help in BB Gun Shooting Spree

Residents continue to report damage to cars as police reach out further for help in finding suspects.

Merrimack Police sent an alert to residents on Saturday afternoon asking them to be alert for suspicious activity as reports continue to come in from residents whose cars were damage by a BB or pellet gun.

The first reports came in Thursday when two vehicles back windows were shattered by a BB gun shot, the say, from a moving vehicle.

The damage was first reported on Bean and Joppa roads shortly after the school day ended on Thursday. Police sent out a press release on Friday afternoon seeking help from the public in finding suspects.

On Saturday they sent a Nixle alert to subscribers of the messaging service asking for help when more reports came in Friday of further damage to cars. The incidents have been reported on Baboosic Lake, Turkey Hill, Joppa and Bean roads.

The Merrimack Police Department is looking for help in solving the latest crime spree. Someone is responsible for damaging vehicles using a BB or pellet gun. This has been occcurring since Thursday, and we took more reports from citizens whose vehciles were damaged overnight.

Police are urging residents to be vigilant a report anything suspicious to police by calling police at 424-3774.
