Soaring Temps Show Thermometer Readings of 100 and Higher
Official highs around the state were in the mid to upper 90s.

While official temperatures in New Hampshire didn't quite hit 100 Friday, it was officially the hottest day of the heat wave.
According to WMUR, the record high in Portsmouth tied at 96 degrees while temperatures reached 97 degrees in Manchester and 95 in Concord.
Thermometers around the state read higher than that, as they cooked in the hot sun. The thermometer in Merrimack at 3:41 read a whopping 115 degrees while in Nashua late in the afternoon read 101 and Hampton showed a temperature of 100.
The good news is cooler air is headed our way. Saturday is expected to be around 92 degrees while Sunday's predicted high is 86. Next week is expected to settle into the low 80s.
