What is Going on Across from Weston Park?
Readers have inquired what the small park is adjacent to the Souhegan River near the Turkey Hill Bridge. We found out the answer.
Patch has recently received three emails from residents inquiring what the small park is that has seemed to spring up across the Souhegan River from Weston Park on Turkey Hill Road.
A call to Town Manager Eileen Cabanel and a referral to Public Works Director Rick Seymour determined that it is a private project being done by the owner of the land.
Seymour said on Thursday afternoon that the land is owned by a private resident, not the town, and the recent landscaping project appeared to sprout suddenly.

"It seems to be just a resident who decided to spruce up land they own," Seymour said.
The land which is mostly unpaved with a small paved access. What was once mostly just a dirt lot is now adorned with a variety of plants, small trees and slab of stone that looks as though it could be a monument but may just be artistic expression.
