Woman Charged With Lying to Police About Home Invasion
Woman told police three men had broken in and were vandalizing her house.

A Bates Road resident has been arrested for allegedly lying to police about a home invasion she reported on June 30.
Mary Watson, 42, was charged with making a false report to police when she was arrested on a warrant on July 6.
Police say they were called in the early morning hours of June 30 by a woman who said three males had entered her house through the basement and were causing damage inside. When police arrived, Bates told them the men had fled the house into the woods out back.
They called in assistance from New Hampshire State Police and using a police canine, they began tracking into the woods, without any luck.
While at the scene, police say detectives were able to piece together evidence that led them to believe the report was false. Watson later told police she'd made up the story and admitted to causing the damage herself.
She was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail. She is scheduled to be arraigned in the 9th Circuit Court, Merrimack District Division on Tuesday July 16.
