91-Year-Old Brookline Resident Killed After Being Hit By Pickup Truck
When he was struck Monday, Ronald Russell was crossing a road in Brookline near Cider Mill Road. The accident remains under investigation.
BROOKLINE, NH — Brookline Police have identified the man killed in a pedestrian accident on Route 130 Monday night as a 91-year-old man who lived near where the accident happened.
The accident occurred at about 5:20 p.m. when Ronald Russell, age 91, was crossing the street from his home when he was hit by a 2019 GMC Sierra pickup truck. Daniel Michaud, a resident of Brookline, drove the truck, police said. Brookline Police Chief Quigley stated Russell succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The road was closed for several hours, with assistance from several area police departments, as investigators measured and photographed the scene, including the damage to the front of the full-size pickup truck.

The Medical Examiner responded to the scene, and a local funeral home removed the victim from the scene.
The section of Route 130 where the accident occurred has signs indicating the speed limit is 35 mph.
