Bragdon Remains GOP Choice For Senate President

The Milford incumbent ran unopposed in the elections this year.

Senate Republicans will once again choose Peter Bragon to lead for another two years.

Sen. Bragdon of Milford is the current Senate President and five-term incumbent who ran unopposed in the elections this year. He was selected at a caucus of all 13 recently elected GOP senators, according to an email from the NH GOP.

"Bragdon made it clear Senate Republicans look forward to working with their Democratic colleagues, crafting a balanced budget and pursuing a pro-business agenda focused on job creation."

NH Democrats have chosen Sen. Sylvia Larsen of Concord to continue her leadership, according to the Associated Press. She will be entering her 10th term, and has served as the Democratic leader for the past two years.

The NH House and and Senate will vote on their leadership on Wednesday, Dec. 5 after new members are sworn in.
