Man Faces Felony Charges After Police Seize Drug Collection

Richard F Cooley, 26 of Milford was arrested after police investigated his truck on Friday.

A smashed car window in Milford revealed a collection of drugs, weapons and paraphernalia and lead to the arrest of the owner.

Milford Police arrested Richard F Cooley, 26 of 599 Mason Rd, Milford for drug possession on Friday night after the haul was found in his parked car in Granite Town Plaza.

Police said that an officer located damage done to a 2002 Chevy pick-up in the plaza around 7:50 p.m. during a check of the area. The vehicle had a broken passenger side window which appeared to have been recently smashed.

Cooley was located, as investigation revealed a baggie containing a small amount of marijuana inside the truck. Further investigation revealed multiple bags of heroin alongside drug paraphernalia, scales, packaging materials, firearms, and cash.

He was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Narcotic Drug with intent to sell, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Narcotic Drug, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Drug and Transportation of a Controlled Drug.

Cooley was held on $25,000 cash bail and was transported to Valley Street Jail. Cooley was scheduled for arraignment in the Merrimack District Court on Tuesday morning.

Bail continued at $25,000 cash at arraignment, and a PC Hearing is set for Nov. 19, 2012, at 9 a.m. in the Milford District Court.
