Man Faces Felony Charges For Choking, Threatening To Shoot Girlfriend

David Janik of Milford has been charged with assault and criminal threatening, along with false imprisonment and simple assault.

A Milford man is facing two felony charges for allegedly choking his girlfriend and pointing a gun to her head during an argument last week, according to The Union Leader.

David Janik, 49, of 658 Brookline Road has been charged with second-degree assault and criminal threatening, both Class B felonies. He is also charged with false improvement and simple assault, according to court documents.

The charges sterm from an argument in Janik's home Saturday night over a text message on her phone. He allegedly dragged his girlfriend into another room, choked her and threw her against the wall before pointing her own handgun to her head.

She was forced to drive his truck to Janik's auto repair business in Brookline and told she would be killed if she told anyone. Janik was later arrested by Mason Police.
