A local homeowner was killed this afternoon when a tree fell on him, according to Milford Fire Chief Jack Kelly.
The incident was reported around 2:30 p.m. on Ball Hill Road as a fatal traumatic injury, according to emergency radio broadcasts. A tree reportedly fell on the man, who was dead by the time emergency crews arrived at the scene.
Kelly described the incident as a tree cutting accident. He said the man who was killed was the homeowner. The incident remains under investigation, pending the medical examiner's report.
