Milford Student a Finalist in Doodle for Google Contest

Bryan Whittier has a chance to win a $30,000 scholarship and a $50,000 Google for Education technology grant for his school.

A Milford High School student is a finalist in the seventh annual Doodle for Google competition.

Besides the honor of seeing his artwork on the Google homepage, Bryan Whittier has a chance to win a $30,000 scholarship and a $50,000 Google for Education technology grant for his school.

Whittier had this to say about his attached Google doodle, "The Real 3D Printer."

"My doodle depicts a pencil which can bring whatever is drawn with it into the world. It depicts innovation, music and wonder. The letters are supposed to look like they have been drawn by the pencil, therefore gray scale. This could help the world by making whatever is needed of it."
