Voters Reject Sidewalk, School Parking Plans
About 1,500 voters cast their ballot at today's annual town meeting elections.

Milford voters were not too keen on new construction this year after shutting down both town and school projects.
A request for $286,000 to add 1,600 feet of sidewalk to Nashua Street lost in a 457-1,024 vote. Voters also rejected spending $60,000 for a plot of land that could be developed into additional parking for Milford High School. The cost of creating the parking area is estimated to be about $135,000.
Both the town and school operating budgets were approved by voters this year.
