Shark Attacks, Mad Science and Nice Weather

Some interesting and useful things to know today from Patch.

1. Weather Report: Today will have intervals of clouds and sunshine. High near 80F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight will have a few clouds. Low 57F. Winds light and variable.

2. It's Alive! Join the Wadleigh Memorial Library on Friday, Aug. 9 for their Mad Science event and celebrate the end of Summer Reading with at Town Hall from 6-7 p.m. They will be watching their friends from Mad Science do a ton of crazy experiments that will blow your minds! Volcanoes, quicksand and more will be explored this evening.  Seating is first come and all ages are welcome.

3. ICYMI: Riverbend Youth Theater Alumni are bringing their production of Cinderalla the Musical to the Amato Theater this week! Catch the show on August 8, 9 and 10 at 7:30, and August, 10 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $8 for students and seniors and $12 for adults. Read more.

4. Don't Forget: The SAU office's summer hours until August 16 are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Get Ready for The School Year with Milford Patch.

5. Fact of the Day: Did you know: It is very rare for a shark to make repeated attacks and actually feed on a human victim. The shark is simply mistaking a human for something it usually eats.
