Snowmobile Crash Injures Milford Man And Boy When They Hit A Rock

MILFORD, NH — Milford police and fire responded to a report of a single snowmobile crash on private property on Saturday.

The initial call reported that there was an unconscious 11-year-old at the scene.

Personnel from the Milford Public Works Department also responded with equipment due to the length and condition of the driveway.

When responders arrived at the scene, they determined the snowmobile, operated by Nathan Ball, 42, of Milford, accompanied by a minor passenger, who had been ejected from a snowmobile after striking a rock.

The minor was treated by EMS personnel at the scene and was ultimately transported by Milford ambulance to Elliot Hospital in Manchester with serious injuries. Ball was also taken by ambulance to Elliot Hospital for injuries he sustained.

Conservation officers said excessive speed is believed to be the primary contributing factor. Neither occupant was wearing a helmet.

No Further information is available at this time. The incident remains under investigation.

Conservation officers reminded parents/guardians that minors under 18 must wear a helmet and eye protection while operating an OHRV or snowmobile.
