'Tickets for George' Will Help Maintain Infanti's Legacy

Members of the Milford Rotary Club have organized a special “Tickets for George” initiative to honor George Infanti and his commitment to Milford Rotary’s Centennial Park.

The goal is to sell an additional 1000 raffle tickets for the club’s 100 Holes of Golf in One Day raffle. While all of the net proceeds from this raffle benefit the Milford Rotary Club Foundation, one half of the proceeds from this special initiative will go directly to a fund established in George’s name for the long-term maintenance of his beloved Centennial Park.

George Infanti passed away from cancer on June 13. One of his crowning achievements had been transforming land with old tennis courts in the beautiful Milford park it is today.

“This is a way we can earn a lot of money for a cause that George really cared the most about,” said fellow Rotarian Cynthia Dokmo.

To help kick start this time limited initiative, an anonymous donor has stepped forward and agreed to match up to $10,000 in raffle ticket sales through this special initiative. The donor specified that all of this matching gift will go towards the George Infanti Centennial Park fund.

Each $20 raffle ticket provides an opportunity to win up to $5,000 for the first place drawing with a total of $13,000 in cash prizes for the lucky 10 winners. The raffle tickets also include valuable coupons, including $20 off at the Copper Door in Bedford.

Look for a “Tickets for George” booth on the Amherst Green during the July 4th Celebration. They are also available from now until Thursday July 25 at these local merchants:

  • County Stores
