Town Of Milford Website Gets Attractive Update

The redesign went live last week.

The town of Milford’s website has a glossy new look that promises a better user experience for residents.

Director of Community Media Michael McInerney said the update is primarily visual, although there is some new organization to make navigation easier.

For example, the newest version of the website has an improved “Find It Fast” drop down menu to access important departments and information. Also, news and event postings are no longer pushed down to the bottom of the front page.

The style is consistent throughout the website and each section is now more compact and efficient.

“It is more visually appealing and catches the eye a bit more,” said McInerney.

The update went live last week, and is the latest change to the website in three years. McInerney said that the website was in desperate need of a redesign back then and has progressed greatly since the old days. (Check out this page for a glimpse of what it used to look like.)

He currently manages 2,600 pieces of content from each department throughout the site and is constantly looking to adjust the design based on traffic. The update also features an “unpublish” option that will more easily remove outdated content.

McInerney wants your feedback on the new design and welcomes any suggestions to make it better. Email your comments at mailto:mmcinerney@milford.nh.gov
