Weekend Planner: Music, Art and Antiques Await!

Patch has another batch of fun things to do in New Hampshire this weekend.

1. Shop and rock! A FREE Summer Music Series Presented by Coca Cola kicks off 12-4pm on July 6 & 7 at Merrimack Premium Outlets. Enjoy a musical performance by Kelly Jackson and Boyan Hristov who will be playing during our annual 4th of July Sidewalk Sale where you can enjoy extra savings on top of our everyday savings of 25% to 65%. Extended shopping hours include Thursday, July 4 – Saturday, July 6 9am-9pm and Sunday, July 7 10am-8pm.

2. Tropical tunes! Catch Changes in Latitudes: The Premier Jimmy Buffet Tribute at the Palace Theater in Manchester on Saturday, Jul. 6 at 7:30 p.m. Changes In Latitudes is the country's premier tribute show to singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett, the master of the tropical life style. This nationally acclaimed band travels from Maine to Florida. With beach balls flying, dancing conga lines, and leis for all, they will take you to the ultimate beach party that’s good clean fun for the entire family. Comprised of nine world-class musicians, and travelling with a full tropical stage set-up, Changes In Latitudes recreates the Buffett concert experience with amazing authenticity. You can expect to hear such classics as “Margaritaville,” “Come Monday,” and, of course, “Changes In Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes,” as well as other crowd-pleasing favorites, like “Brown Eyed Girl,” “Southern Cross,” “Another Saturday Night,” and the Alan Jackson / Jimmy Buffett smash hit "It's Five O'clock Somewhere.” Part of the 2013 Palace Theatre Summer Music Series.

3. For the guitar fans! Listen to the sweet sounds of Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo at the Tupelo Music Hall in Londonderry on Sunday, July 7 at 7 p.m. Frank Vignola & Vinny Raniolo are some of the most extraordinary guitarists performing before the public today. Frank's stunning virtuosity has made him the guitarist of choice for many of the world's top musicians, including Ringo Starr, Madonna, Donald Fagen, Wynton Marsalis, Tommy Emmanuel, Mark O'Connor, the Boston Pops, the New York Pops, and guitar legend Les Paul, who named Vignola to his "Five Most Admired Guitarists List" for the Wall Street Journal. Vinny Raniolo at the age of 28 has already proved himself to be among the elite having performed and recorded with Bucky Pizzareli, Tommy Emmanuel and David Grisman just to name a few. Tickets at the door are $22.

4. Classic treasures! Browse the Milford Antiques Show on Sunday, Jul. 7 from 8:30-11 a.m. This is a special monthly antiques events during the spring and summer. Over 80 dealers from various states present a large variety of quality antiques and collectibles at reasonable prices. Admission only $5 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. Free Admission from 9:30 am to 11 am. Free parking, no sales tax, ATM machine in lobby, cafe with fresh baked goods and delicious coffee.

5. Art for sale! Visit the Concord Arts Market on Saturday, Jul. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is NH's original weekly, outdoor, selective arts market, featuring artisan handcrafts and fine art. Jewelry, handbags, home decor, paintings, photography, pottery, clothing, and more, rotate through and the selection is never exactly the same every week. A great place to shop for yourself, or for special gifts. Concord Arts Market always features the best that the local area and region have to offer - in a pretty city courtyard, with a neighboring coffee shop, nearby Farmers' Market, and lots of downtown shops and restaurants that will easily fill up a day out in the warm weather months. Visitors browse, lounge, play and meet the artists and artisans face to face in this casual, community-minded venue. The venue is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Children are welcome and the market is also welcoming to friendly pets on leashes. This season's offerings will also include music, and aerial performances on select dates.
