2-Alarm Fire Engulfs Hudson House; 2 Pets Rescued From Fire
Firefighters arrived to heavy fire and smoke at a Hudson house. Intense heat didn't stop firefighters from rescuing a dog and cat.
HUDSON, NH — Firefighters arrived to a Cedar Street home with fire spreading throughout the structure and two pets inside the residence.
Hudson firefighters received multiple calls for a fire in the residence around 1:40 p.m. Wednesday. The fire which appears to have started in the rear of the structure and from the attic area of the house. Smoke was rolling out of the roofline, and a second alarm was requested.
Firefighters entered the building and were able to rescue a dog, and cat. Firefighters provided medical care for the animals which were then transported to a local animal hospital.

The fire was brought under control at 2:50 p.m. and fully extinguished after 3 p.m.
Hudson Fire Deputy Chief James Paquette said the cause of the fire remains under investigation. The home sustained significant structural damage to the rear deck, the roof and interior surfaces, according to Deputy Chief Paquette. There was significant smoke, fire, and water damage throughout the house.

Firefighters from Nashua, Pelham, Windham and Londonderry assisted at the scene. Nashua American Medical Response sent an ambulance, while the Salvation Army of Nashua responded to assist with the rehab of firefighters.
No injuries to any responding crews was reported.
