Firefighters responded to a 2-alarm fire in an apartment building on Amherst Street on Sunday. While still at the scene, another fire was reported at the Temple Street Hotel, 23 Temple St.
The first fire was reported around noon on Jan. 5 at 525 Amherst St., according to Deputy Chief Michael O'Brien. The fire on Temple Street was reported at about 12:30 p.m.
No injuries were reported, although some residents of the Amherst Street apartment building may be displaced temporarily, O'Brien said.
