5 Things: Art in Bloom Benefit Tonight at Old Amsterdam

Happy Wednesday!

1. Art In Bloom Tonight at Old Amsterdam: Art in Bloom, May 22 at Old Amsterdam Bar & Lounge, is a fresh cut art showcase for all things spring – theme includes flowers, garden, nature, blue skies, birds, bees – you get the idea. Silent Auction to benefit Gate City Community Gardens, a NH Non-Profit Corporation raising "Seed Money" for their very first Downtown Nashua community garden project. Highlights: Chandon Rose, Rose 'N Blum, Once Upon A Vine, & Magic Hat's Elder Betty Samplings & give-a-ways by Southern Wine & Spirits of New England & Amoskeag Beverage. Event runs from 6-9 p.m. in collaboration with Chris Malloy Events.

2. Restaurant Week Continues: NH's 2nd Annual Restaurant Week continues with several Nashua restaurants among a statewide list of eateries offering special lunch and dinner menus and pricing - locally you should stop by Lui Lui, Burton's Grill, Fody's, MT's, Napa East, Shade Bar & Grill at the Radisson, Shorty's, Speaker's Corner, Takumi, Villa Banca and Weathervane. But the idea is to also move you to a place you've never tried before. So, get eating!

3. Glass Half Full in Oklahoma: Our urge is to focus too much on the tragedies, but this story in USA Today gets at the other side of the Oklahoma tornado – how did so many people survive a 2-mile wide monster twister?
