1. E-ZPass Alternative: It is now possible for motorists who are not E-ZPass customers and do not have transponders to utilize the benefits of E-ZPass on the New Hampshire Turnpike System.  The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces a new E-ZPass account option that allows travelers to “Prepay a NH Trip” and use dedicated E-ZPass lanes and Open Road Tolling (ORT) lanes.  Payments are made in advance of a trip on New Hampshire turnpikes by establishing a prepaid account and registering a license plate.  Images of the license plate traveling through the dedicated E-ZPass lane or ORT lane will be matched to the account and the toll will be automatically deducted from the prepaid account balance. More info here.
