Bomb Squad Checks Out Abandoned Bag

Police determined the the bag was just forgotten at the Social Security office. It was returned to the owner.

Police bomb squad investigated a bag left at the Social Security Administration Building investigating an abandoned backpack, called in by an employee just before 10 a.m.

Turned out the bag was forgotten, said Lt. Michael Moushegian.

"The bag has been returned to the owner, whose ID was found inside the bag," Moushegian said. "The situation is cleared."

Nashua Patch reader Kelly Boland Wood said at one point just before 11 a.m. police were diverting traffic away from the area off of the Everett Turnpike at Exit 7.
