Arrest Made In Friday Morning Fatal Shooting Of A Man In Nashua
Lee Knoetig, 53, was fatally shot at the Sunoco on Amherst Street. Police have arrested Alexander Wheeler, 19, of Nashua.
NASHUA, NH — Nashua police have made an arrest in the investigation of a man fatally shot outside a Nashua gas station.
Beginning at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nashua police officers responded to a business on Amherst Street in Nashua in response to calls reporting in substance that a person had been shot. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered Lee Knoetig, 53, on the ground, outside the business. He had been shot in the chest and was not responsive. Knoetig was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
Alexander Wheeler, 19, of Nashua was been arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder for recklessly causing the death of Knoetig under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by shooting him, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office.

It is anticipated Wheeler will be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court in Nashua on Monday, at a time to be scheduled by the court.
