Bishop Guertin Puts on a 'Happy' Face in Lip-Dub Video

The school posted a YouTube video Tuesday set to the hit song by Pharrell.

If you have any doubt that Bishop Guertin High School is a fun place, you won't after watching the lip-dub video the school posted on its YouTube page on Tuesday.

The 4-minute video (embedded above) shows students and faculty members shuffling around the hallways, in locker rooms and in front of buses to the Pharrell tune "Happy," showing off their dancing and acting skills.

"It was something that I worked on with one of our recent graduates," said Alison Mueller, admissions director and '03 grad at the Nashua Catholic school.

Joe Marion, a 2013 BG grad who is now a student at Syracuse University, had done some videos for the school last year, and came back over spring break to shoot this one.

"We had the idea of lip dubbing," Mueller said. "It's something that's popular right now."

She had no problem finding volunteers.

"The environment is so great," Mueller said. "Our students, we hardly had to prep them. It was fun for everyone to do it."

A lot of the teachers in the video, she said, are alums like Mueller.

The idea of the video  was to help people get to know and understand the school, which she calls "Nashua's best kept secret.

"We're a fun place," Mueller said. "It's a little bit more about what happens inside the walls."

She's just started to spread the word about the video. It will likely be shown at Student Appreciation Day this spring, and will be used to help market the school to prospective students.
