Careless Smoking Cause of Royal Crest Fire
Improper disposal of smoking material ignited a small fire Saturday at the Exit 1 apartment building.

Improper disposal of smoking material was the cause of a small fire April 6 at 16 Royal Crest Drive, Apt. 10, Royal Crest Apartments, in Nashua.
At about 3:30 p.m. fire crews were dispatched from the Spitbrook Road Station for a report of light smoke showing from the third-floor balcony area, in the rear of the building. Crews found a fire outside the wall extending up and inside the apartment, and stretched a hose line to extinguish the fire .
Alarms were sounding when fire officials arrived and all residents had evacuated the building.
