Charges on Stolen Debit Card Lead to Arrest

Ryan Nolan also faces an unrelated assault charge.

NASHUA - Ryan Noel, 25, last known address of 11 Terrace Street, Apartment 2, Nashua,  was arrested April 8 on two warrants charging him with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, consolidation, a class B felony; and simple assault, a class A misdemeanor.

Police say Noel allegedly used a stolen debit card to make a series of withdrawals from a checking account in an amount exceeding $1,000.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division investigated the reported theft and based on that investigation completed an arrest warrant for Noel.

The above listed simple assault charge is unrelated to the felony theft charge.

A class B felony is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment, exclusive of fines. A class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year in jail, exclusive of fines. Noel is being held on $5,000 cash or surety bail pending an arraignment set for April 9.
