No smoke alarms were found inside the mobile home, fire officials said.

Nashua Engine 6 arrived at about 7:40 p.m. on May 30 to find heavy smoke and fire showing from the single-family mobile home. They were met in the yard by the homeowner, who told firefighters that all had escaped the home safely.

Engine 2 arrived and initiated water supply from a hydrant approximately 1,400- feet away. Ladder 2 entered the building to assist Engine 6 with ventilation and exposing hidden fire.
Command requested an additional Engine Company due to the extreme distance to hydrant. Engine 5 arrived and completed the hose lay to Engine 6, which provided a water source.

Fire damage inside building was extensive, according to fire officials.
Thursday's high temperatures and humidity added a challenge for firefighters. Also, extensive renovation to the building created many empty spaces in the ceiling and walls that contained fire, which spread rapidly due to the construction materials and age of the building.
No smoke detectors were present in building, which could have proven fatal to occupants had the fire started after they had gone to sleep, fire officials said.
The fire remains under investigation by Nashua Fire Rescue Fire Marshal's Office.
