'Fugitive of the Week' Surrenders to Police

NASHUA - “Fugitive of the Week” Anthony Hannon, 44, of Nashua, surrendered to Nashua Police Department April 23.  Hannon was wanted by the Nashua Police Department on an outstanding arrest warrant for aggravated felonious sexual assault. 

As part of this investigation, Hannon was aired as the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force’s weekly feature known as the “Fugitive of the Week” on April 18, 2013. 

The ‘Fugitive of the Week’ program often leads to numerous tips on the location of many fugitives. In this case the program had a motivating factor that helped Hannon make the decision to surrender to authorities. 

U.S. Marshal David Cargill, Jr., said “The Fugitive of the Week program truly allows the U.S. Marshals Service here in New Hampshire to get the word out about people such as Hannon.”  Cargill continued, “When it comes to a crime against a child we will pursue people like Hannon until there is no stone left unturned!”        

Since the inception of the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force in 2002, these partnerships have resulted in over 5,370 arrests.  These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses.  Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, 7 regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.
