Happy Mother's Day: This Sums it Up for Me
I'm sharing a song that has always spoken to my heart. I'd love to hear from you, whether it's a song, a poem, an anecdote, a photo, or a prayer.
Regina Belle sums it up for me with this ode to motherhood, "If I Could." It gets me every time. If you're a mom, I hope you are having a great day and that your kids are happy and healthy.
If you're missing your mom, I hope that you find a way to honor her memory today.
If you have a mom, no matter what your relationship is like those other 364 days of the year, today you go out of your way to hug her, tell her what she means to you, mend fences, make amends, treat her like a queen – whatever you can do to make sure this year doesn't pass without doing it up right.

As moms, we don't always get it right. We spend most of our adult lives wondering if we've completely screwed our kids up. We ultimately only want what's best for them, and hope that we've given them what they need to make their way in the world.
Meanwhile, we all understand that, for all her flaws, we wouldn't trade our own mother for anyone else's in the world because, without her, we wouldn't be who we are.

Bonus: On that note, here's a little something I wrote about my mom a few years back, which I shared here last year. It's my special time of sharing. Enjoy.
