VIDEO: Hassan Strikes Back at NHGOP, Sends Zinger in Horn's Direction
NHGOP Chair Jennifer Horn was present for Gov. Hassan's one-liners at the annual Wild Irish Breakfast.
The annual Wild Irish Breakfast is an important fundraiser for the and has taken on a life of its own as an event where politicians have license to poke fun at one another – for the most part, in a light-hearted comedy-driven roast.
On Friday, Gov. Maggie Hassan kicked it up a notch inside the Radisson Hotel ballroom, slipping in a couple of pointed barbs at New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairwoman Jennifer Horn, who was in attendance.
Between the niceties and obligatory jabs at Master of Ceremonies and event founder former Mayor Bernie Streeter, Hassan made a point of of bringing up the ongoing scrutiny she and her administration have been under of late by the state GOP, which has recently filed a number of right-to-know requests.

"Really? What's next, Jennifer, are you going to attack me for talking to myself?" Hassan said.
A flutter of laughter moved across the room.
Hassan aimed a little lower with another jab, this one directed at specifically a tax lien against Horn's Nashua property that surfaced just before the GOP chair election.
In February Horn pressed Hassan for "missing budget documents" and questioned what it was she "was trying to hide."
Said Hassan, during her time at the microphone Friday: "It wasn't like I was trying to hide anything; I just made the mistake of using Jennifer Horn's accountant."
Groans and laughter ensued.
NHGOP promptly Tweeted the following:

And within minutes of the breakfast event being over, Horn released another NHGOP alert, this one detailing a new Right to Know request made to Lottery Commissioner Executive Director Charles McIntyre, asking for all records of Hassan's "ethically questionable, Executive Branch casino lobbying effort."
After the breakfast, when asked about the NHGOP right-to-know filings, Hassan simply said, "Executives talk to executives."
