High Wind Watch Issued for New Hampshire

Weather forecasters say Sandy likely to bring damaging winds, possibly power outages, to Granite State.

The National Weather Service this morning issued a high wind watch for Eastern Hillsborough County and other areas of New Hampshire.

The watch is in effect from early Monday morning through late Monday night, and winds from 20- to 30-m.p.h. – with damaging gusts up to 60 m.p.h. – are expected.

PSNH is warning that widespread power outages are possible due to the threat of downed trees and power lines.

Residents are advised to take action today before the high winds reach the Granite State.

All loose items outdoors should be secured and it's advised that batteries should be on hand and that portable generators are properly connected.
