Holiday Week Solid Waste Department Schedule

SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT CLOSED ON LABOR DAY 
The Division of Public Works, Solid Waste Department will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2013 for the Labor Day holiday. The Four Hills Landfill / Nashua Recycling Center will be closed on that day and there will be no collections at curbside.

Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, September 3. Collections of recyclables, trash and soft yard wastes will be delayed by one day during the week, with Monday's routes picked up on Tuesday, September 3, Tuesday's routes on Wednesday, September 4, Wednesday's routes on Thursday the 5, and Thursday's routes on Friday, September 6; Friday's routes will be collected on Saturday, September 7. 

The Solid Waste Department reminds owners of backyard pools to properly disposal of chemicals used to treat the water. Pool chemicals should NOT be put into the trash but must be brought to a household hazardous waste collection. The last two collections for this year will take place on Saturday mornings, October 5 and November 2.
